In 2021, the artistic community experienced a turning point with the rise of NFTs and the race for crypto fortune. This technology offered artists new opportunities for recognition and income. While some thrived, many struggled for months to grasp the new technology and digital economy, all while meeting industry demands.
As a digital artist, you were likely invited to join a crypto venture, perhaps to create something akin to the Bored Ape collection. I certainly fell into the trap, excited by the opportunity to create something fun around UFOs and Aliens. This led me to join the ANTZ project, an NFT venture celebrating sci-fi digital art with a colorful, whimsical alien character.
Despite the project's financial failure, the experience was incredibly enjoyable. Experimenting with Cinema4D and bringing a character to life that made me laugh and sparked my creativity was an unforgettable journey.
During the process, I crafted the project's identity with a custom typeface and modeled the character in 3D, bringing it to life with vibrant colors, textures, and accessories. I also designed a diamond-shaped spaceship resembling the Ethereum coin symbol. Inside the spaceship, I depicted all the items our beloved alien was abducting along the way.
